Ok, don’t get me wrong. I LOVE being a librarian–it is definitely my dream job in many ways. But when you think of a librarian, do you think of fashion? Trends? Style? Ummm, no. And I can vouch from attending many librarian conferences that fashion is not often the forefront of everyone’s mind.
But I AM a librarian who loves talking about fashion and style (ahem–Stylish in the Stacks) so I don’t necessarily want to be told that I look like a librarian. So here’s a series to show off looks that I love that are cute, fun, and stylish without the “librarian” label.
Today’s look combines two things that I love–gingham and color. Oh and jewels–I LOVE me some jewels.
It has been hot here in Indiana, but I couldn’t resist pairing this light black and white gingham shirt with the bright green shorts. The green adds some fun to the shirt’s pattern.
I added fun black sandals with gold sequins to add in some extra bling. It also carries the black all the way down.
This jeweled necklace has pops of color, including the same green in the shorts. It immediately dresses up the outfit and matches the faux diamond stud earrings.
This is the perfect outfit for a summer evening picnic or a brunch with your girlfriends. It’s the perfect mix of dressy and casual.
My HUGE thanks to My Dearly Beloved Photography for these lovely photos.
