Fall is here!!! And I couldn’t be happier! This is such a great time of year in Indiana–the cooler weather, changing colors, plaid fashion, and all things pumpkin.
With the seasons changing, I thought it’d be fun to show two ways to wear an autumn-colored dress. This look goes from dressy to casual and from summer to fall. Enjoy!
I found this simple olive dress at Target (on sale for less than $10!) this summer and it is a great piece to wear in the transition from summer to fall. It’s SUPER comfortable and a lovely color for both seasons.
To dress it up, I added a dark jean vest (J Crew Outlet) and a Stella and Dot gold necklace. Layers are so important to make yourself look all put together, and these pieces are dressy but still very comfortable.
Tan wedge sandals and a color block clutch (both from Target) keep the look classy and appropriate for work, lunch with the girls, or even date night. And these aviator sunglasses from Loft look very high-end for such a reasonable price!
My jewelry is a collection of Stella and Dot bracelets (here) and some faux diamond stud earrings.
So to transition to cooler weather and make the outfit a little more casual, I switched out the vest for this Target jean jacket and the wedges for some classic white Converse.
I also changed out my necklace to this military-style Baublebar necklace.
This second outfit would be perfect for a Saturday afternoon at an apple orchard!
So how do you transition your summer dresses to fall? Would YOUR librarian wear something like this?
*A HUGE thank you to Hannah from My Dearly Beloved Photography for the beautiful photos. What a fun photo shoot we had!
*I’m not associated with any of the companies/products mentioned, although I have a healthy obsession with Target.
